Early Morning Riser
Anyone who knows me fairly well can attest to the fact that my alarm rarely goes off at 4:30 in the morning. In fact, it could be argued that I would rather stay up until 4:30 than crawl out of bed in the early morning.
This early start was well worth it as Jenn, my father-in-law, and I joined hundreds of other North Texans at Kohl’s for Clothe-a-Child. Nearly 800 kids were already waiting with their parents as we pulled in. This is the 3rd year for me to serve a need in the community through CAC as local churches raised funds to clothe under-privledged kids. Kohl’s joins the generosity by offering tremendous discounts to these families in order to make their $100 gift vouchers go extremely far.
The doors opened at 6 am and the first kids through the door had been outside with their parents since one in the morning. My video camera had no problem capturing tender moments as child after child browsed the aisles with their family and caring volunteers.
I may not be a fan of early mornings, but it is easy to get up for an event that is shaping a community.

I remember watching a video that you made about this one year. It is fantastic that you and your church do so much for your community!! It really makes me want to do more
Can I see the video anywhere online?
